Why Tunisian olive oil?
Much European-labelled oil actually starts in North Africa.

When people picture olive oil, they picture Italy or Spain. But Tunisia is one of the largest producers in the world, with an olive-growing tradition thousands of years old and a climate that suits the tree.
The part that is rarely mentioned
A large share of Tunisian olive oil is exported in bulk, then blended and bottled in Europe before being sold under European labels. This is legal and common in the industry. It means many people are already buying Tunisian oil without knowing — only at a higher price, after passing through extra hands.
What single origin changes
Olivko does not take that route. The fruit is harvested, pressed within roughly three to four hours, and bottled in Tunisia. There is no cross-country blending and no bulk shipping before bottling — which means the 0.18% acidity refers to the oil in the bottle you buy.
Olivko has received more than 120 international awards through competitions including NYIOOC New York, EVO IOOC, Mario Solinas, Olive Japan and London IOOC.
